COVID Project
Hello and welcome to the COVID Project
This was a project that began three weeks after the UK entered a full lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I embarked on my project COVID. With all my freelance work paused and university completed, I found myself at home with idle hands and a sense of restlessness. The streets, devoid of bustling crowds, revealed a stark reality: many buildings stood abandoned, left behind by businesses and schools unable to sustain themselves without financial support. The sight of these deserted structures served as a poignant reminder of the economic toll of the pandemic, highlighting the urgent need for assistance to keep businesses and educational institutions afloat during these challenging times.
The COVID project showcases building that are left behind, left to rot and captured in a photographic manner, the images showcase an exploration of the past, revealing a story of what life used to be like in these building before they were left abandoned.
